In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1 (NIV)
God’s voice thunders in marvelous
ways;
he does great things beyond our
understanding.
He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the
earth,’ Job 36:5-6a (NIV)
Praise the Lord from the
earth,
you great sea creatures and all ocean
depths,
lightning and hail, snow and
clouds,
stormy winds that do his bidding. Psalm 148:7-8
(NIV)
On Monday, we finally received some snow that my husband and I had been praying for. You see, we love winter and snow and you'll often find us praying for snow each winter. This was a special snowfall. The conditions were such that it had been quite cold, so the snowflakes unique features were easy to see with the naked eye. The photo above was taken with my phone on the back windshield of our van.
Seeing the beauty of each snowflake reminded me of my Great Creator - God. I couldn't help but ponder that if He cares so much about creating different snowflakes, how much more does He care about us. You see, you weren't a mistake. God created you in your mother's womb. He cares about every aspect of your life. He loves you more than you'll ever know.
My prayer, is
that the next time you see snowflakes falling from the sky, you'll
be reminded of the Lord's great love for you!
