My husband and I have visited the ARK Encounter in Kentucky a couple of times now. Each visit, I’m awed by the faith and trust Noah had. He trusted God to take care of things and had faith that God would provide for him. I’ve been thinking about Noah a lot as I work on my new book I’m writing. The theme is on trusting God.
I love this verse in Hebrews 11:7 (NIV) about Noah:
By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.
Are you struggling today with having faith in the middle of your situation? Do you find it difficult to trust God when everything seems to be crumbling around you? These verses from Isaiah encourage me that God promises to always be with us.
“Do not fear, for I have
redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are
mine.
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive
it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.
Isaiah 43:1b-2,19 (NIV)
Cry out to Jesus. He cares about you and desires for you to rest in Him. To trust Him.
