Unbeknownst to her, the memoir is peppered with clues leading to a rare collection of stolen jewels from World War II. After the memoir makes the best-seller list, Kelly finds herself in the crosshairs of a decades-old vendetta.

Now, instead of enjoying her rise to literary fame, she’s thrust into the dangerous world of treasure hunting.

While Kelly struggles to win the game of cat-and-mouse, a secret family legacy is unearthed, forcing her to choose between trusting her charming literary agent or her vigilant bodyguard to keep her safe.

As the three of them become entangled in a web of deceit, it’s a race to see who’s the villain, who’s the hero, and who holds all the pieces to solve the mystery of the best seller.

While she currently resides in Oklahoma City, she’s lived all over the US, a few years in the UK, and loves to travel. More from Christina

There is a certain in-between place where creatives tend to linger — a space where reality meets imagination and stories quietly begin. It’s where we observe the world as it is, then wonder how it might unfold just a little differently. That space is where my writing lives, and it’s where Best Seller was born.

Before novels, though, there was coffee. My very first “real” job as a teen was working as a barista, and I loved it. I wasn’t just making drinks — I was mixing flavors and letting my imagination wander between orders. There’s something comforting about coffee, something that invites reflection and creativity. Looking back, it makes perfect sense that it found its way into my stories.

In Best Seller, my main character Kelly Landon is a crime fiction writer with a carefully guarded heart. She’s shy, introverted, and far more comfortable with quiet moments than crowded rooms. Her love of seasonal coffee blends mirrors her inner world — thoughtful, layered, and hopeful beneath the surface. But Kelly’s heart is fragile, and without being anchored in God’s love and truth, it can be easily swayed by the promise of earthly acceptance.

Enter Declan — her outgoing literary agent with unassuming Irish charm and a way with words. Can you blame Kelly for daydreaming? For wondering if love might be possible after all?

To celebrate Best Seller, I created the Writer Girl Latte, inspired by my barista days and Kelly’s story. Cozy, creative, sweet, and just a little indulgent — because sometimes the best stories begin with a warm cup and a willing heart.

So, pour yourself something warm, settle in, and step into the mystery of Best Seller — it’s only the beginning.

And remember, Love is a Mystery!

Interview

If you could give advice to a newbie writer, what would it be?

My advice would be to be in a constant state of learning when it comes to the craft of writing. There’s always something to learn and improve on or exciting techniques to study. Also, connect with other writers. Writers understand writers, and when you get discouraged its helpful to talk about it. You’ll be encouraged and you’ll be able to encourage when you’re part of a creative group. And finally, I’d recommend you write your story first, then edit. Editing as you go can create more frustration. Give the story life, then dig in and shape it into its perfect masterpiece.

What do you find the hardest part of the writing process?

Time stamps. While I’m writing I sometimes forget that the reader can’t read my mind. While it makes perfect sense for me to transition to a new scene, I realize I need to give a little direction to the reader, so nobody gets lost along the journey.

Do you use humor at all in your writing?

I do like to add a dose of humor. One of my favorite things about writing romance is adding banter, it really adds spark and layers to the relationship.

What is the easiest part of your writing process?

I love writing dialogue and proposal scenes. If there’s a proposal in the story, I want to make it unique to the couple. I enjoy researching honeymoon locations and engagement rings, making mood boards, and picking out colors. It’s as if I’m a wedding planner for every couple I write! (I’ll admit though, I sometimes get too sidetracked and forget to get words on the page)

Give us an insight into your faith in the Lord.

I gave my heart to Jesus as a young child, and I’ve been growing in my faith walk with Him ever since. I love to study the Word and learn about Biblical history. I can say from experience, no matter how many times I read Scripture, it’s always fresh and applicable. As with everyone in life, I’ve been through ups and downs, sorrows and joy, and I know with my whole heart, Jesus never changes, and He never, ever fails.

Do your books revolve around certain themes?

I try to weave themes of hope, redemption, and family. I love shining a light on the joy of marriage in the couples I write.

Is your book part of a series?

Yes! Best Seller is Book One in the H & G Mystery Series. H & G stands for Hunters & Gatherers. I chose that name because I wanted to embody two distinct aspects of treasure hunters, the ones who gather the info and the ones who hunt down the relics.

What are you currently working on?

I’m currently working on 4 things:

Edits for Book 3 in the H & G series. That comes out in August of this year!

I’m working on a mystery/romance novella. I’ve never written a novella, so I’m trying my hand at a shorter story.

I’ve recently pulled out a story I wrote 16 years ago. I’ve been unraveling it and putting it back together. I’d love to share it with the world in the near future!

And lastly, I started writing a fast-paced thriller a few years ago, so when I have free time I add a layer to that.

When you aren’t writing, what do you enjoy doing?

I love browsing antique stores, reading, and trying new recipes I find on Pinterest. Recently I tried a yogurt bread and a bread I baked in a Dutch oven.
