Today I’d like to welcome a fellow writer, Gail Pallotta. It’s great to have you here, Gail. Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m a wife and mom. I grew up in a small town at the foothills of the North Carolina Mountains. As a youngster, I spent time in my father’s cabinet shop and Mother’s beauty shop. Mother’s customers discussed everything from weddings to what they would have for dinner. I still carry the camaraderie they shared in my heart and wish we had more of it today.
That sounds like fun. Tell us about your recent release.
Hidden Danger is a Christian Romantic Suspense. The first book in the Discipleship Series, it’s set in the winter at a mountain campground. In the story Emily Hanover’s left standing at the altar on her wedding day. She goes to Sky High Campground to put her life back together. Because it’s February and few people come here this time of year, she’s alone on the premises. When noises in the middle of the night frighten her, she gathers her courage and peeks outside. A man carrying a body over his shoulder emerges from the dark shadows onto her front yard. Horrified, she collapses onto the floor.
The next morning, she visits ex-military officer turned security guard, Nick Lancaster. He listens intently to Emily, but dismisses her claim of foul play as a hunter carrying a deer. Finally, after he sees a freshly dug hole in Emily’s yard and finds two more in the woods, he agrees—there’s suspicious activity. Then he and Emily embark on a mission exposing murder and a far-reaching sinister plot, neither suspecting danger can bring romance.

I don’t typically read suspense, but I enjoyed your book. What things do you like to do outside of writing?
I look forward to going to our church. I like to swim, spend time at the beach, and get together with friends and family. I also enjoy learning about people. Everyone’s story is different. My husband says I’m the only person he knows who can go in the grocery for a loaf of bread and come out with someone’s life story.
Chuckle. What is your favorite Bible verse?
It’s difficult to choose just one, but I’ve narrowed it down to two right together. When Jesus was speaking with the Sadducees and Pharisees, one of them asked him which was the greatest commandment in the law. In Matthew 22: 37 – 39, he replies, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it. Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Tell us about your writing space.
There’s a door between our washer and dryer and a small room, which serves as my office. In addition to my computer desk and printer, it has a neglected ironing board as well as a bookcase and a large window. Years ago, when I wrote articles in the hope of writing books someday, my neighbor went to Ireland. She knew I am Irish and brought me the photo that hangs on the wall.
That’s great. Where can readers find you online?

My Review
Hidden Danger is my first introduction to the writings of author Gail Pallotta. Ms. Pallotta takes the reader through twists and turns as they try to discover who has been frightening Emily Hanover. Emily only desires to have a restful vacation where she can recover after being jilted at the altar. She finds anything but peace and relaxation. Hidden Danger is a book that you’ll keep reading to discover who is causing the constant disturbances. If you’re a fan of mystery and intrigue, you’ll love Ms. Pallotta’s new faith-based book.
