Today I’d like to welcome, Lisa Renee. Where did you get the inspiration for your latest book?

Polarized Love is based on a true story of a lady I know who married an American Navy guy. It was a whirlwind romance and she didn’t know what she was getting into. I’ve had to change the story quite a bit and be sensitive to mental health themes.

I like to lace my stories in romance and humor, so people will receive a life lesson, but they will be entertained at the same time.

I love having humor in a story. Do you have a favorite scene in your newest release?

Probably the romantic dance overlooking the San Diego skyline.

Sounds interesting. 🙂 Where do you get ideas?

My first three books in the Single Again series are based on true stories of people I know. I like to give them the happy ending they deserve.

I know as a reader and a writer, I want to see those happy endings. What is one thing you hope readers will take away from your story?

Not to rush into relationships. Take the time to get to know who you are marrying before you say, “I do.”

I agree. That’s so important. Is there something about you most people wouldn’t know?

I have seven children and I breed ragdoll cats.

I’ve never heard of that… the cats that is. 🙂 What do you plan to work on next?

I have a five-book contract with Celebrate Lit for the second Island series. To get warmed up, I started Polarized Love on an Australian Island.
